1. www.cgap.org
The Consultative Group to Assist the Poor headquartered near the World Bank in Washington, DC, is a multinational organization of donors which supports considerable development activity for microfinance.

2. www.mixmarket.org
Is a portal on which large numbers of participants in microfinance list their data – microfinance institutions, investors, technical service providers, and so forth. The site monitors the quality of much of this data and also contains analysis of it. Some of this analysis especially benchmarking activities is reported in an associate web based publication at www.mixmbb.org

3. www.developmentgateway.org
This is a site maintained out of the United Kingdom which contains a great deal of published work and information about microfinance. In addition to studies and articles, there are also listings of consultants and events.

4. www.microlinks.org
This is a site supported by USAID with extensive information about microenterprise and microfinance.

5. www.ruralfinance.org
This is a site maintained by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations on rural finance.
There are many other sites with relevant information for those interested in microfinance.

Others

The World Bank has several sites on its website www.worldbank.org with information on different aspects of finance and economic development.

The International Labor Organization www.ilo.org and the eldis website www.eldis.org are particularly useful.

There are several listserves which also specialize in microfinance from different points of view.
