Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Mrs. 'Yemisi Joel-Osebor is the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist for the Project. ‘Yemisi has over 10 years experience in M&E and International Project Management. She has been involved in non-oil economic growth projects in Nigeria - having managed socio-economic development initiatives for both Local and International Organizations. Her academic background is in Economics (Nigeria) and Development & International Cooperation (Finland). Prior to joining the Project, she worked on the Economic Growth Component of British Council’s Security, Justice and Growth (SJG) Programme which is funded by UK’s Department for International Development (DFID).

She was the Head of the Research & Micro Enterprise Unit of Support & Training Entrepreneurship Program (STEP) - an IFC/World Bank initiative to boost entrepreneurship development in the informal sector. She was a National Expert on two research projects undertaken by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) - ‘Survey of Selected Manufacturing Firms in Nigeria’ and ‘Foreign Investor Companies in Nigeria’ 2001.

Yemisi has handled several projects that improved regulatory frameworks and enhanced economic development in key sectors by providing technical assistance to stakeholders. Her other interests are in Life Coaching [for youths and the less privileged] , Non-Profits Development and Social Entrepreneurship.

She is a certified M&E Specialist, Project Manager, Gender Expert, Trainer and has authored three books.
