Project Supervisor
Maria Valenzuela is a Senior Consultant with Nathan EME with over 8 years of professional experience in business development and the world-wide management of major donor-funded technical assistance projects involving large teams of experts and clients from the public and private sector. She has extensive knowledge of project management according to multi- and bilateral donors’ policies, standards and procedures (including EC, World Bank, GTZ) and is fully familiar with all contractual aspects related to the implementation of consultancy contracts.
Prior to joining Nathan EME, Maria held positions as senior project manager for one of Europe’s leading development consultancies, as project manager for the EC financed “Expoecuador Programme” in Ecuador and as deputy project manager for the “PMU to the SME Development Programme” in Mexico where she was, among other tasks, responsible for planning and monitoring of annual budgets and incidentals according to EC procedures. Maria is fluent in English, Spanish, French and German and also brings an extensive experience in organisational capacity building in public sector reform projects in Latin America.
